Destash Contest

I love magazines.  I go to the nearest Barnes & Noble at least every few weeks and dig through the magazine rack for anything for beads and jewelry and, lately, photography.  However, I'm also something of a pack rat. I have a difficult time getting rid of anything.
BUT!
I have made a DECISION! (yes, it's deserving of capital letters, makes it much more impressive) The decision is a give-away.  I have a whole BUNCH of magazines ~ bead magazines, wire magazines, lapidary magazines, photography magazines ~ and I am going to have a series of give-aways for all these magazines over the next several months (yes, I have that many and, yes, I'll very likely get even more!)
Here's a peek at the ones I have so far:

So... Make a comment, tell me which magazines are your favs, or which you might want to try, and why.  All the names of those who comment will get tossed in the hat and the magical frog will pick the name of the first winner!

  1. I would enjoy any of the wire work magazines. I'm addicted to wire after being so intimidated by it for so long. But here I am, almost on my 1 year anniversary and as addicted as ever!

  2. I'd love to enter your next give-away, Pam... I think this is a great way to "share the love". I'm on a self-imposed moratorium as far as contests and give-aways are concerned, til 2013. Too lucky this past year! I'll definitely watch for your next instalment.

  3. Oh, wow! I love magazines! I stuff one in my purse all winter when it is slow so I can look at it after all my tasks are done. I would love some of the wire work mags but I would really love to get my hands on the digital photography. I"ve become fascinated with photos and imaging lately. Thanks for this chance.

  4. I love all wire work, lapidary, art jewelry or stringing. I guess I am addicted to all of them. The past few months I have really been hung up on wire work. Love it!

Thank you for offering to share your library!

  5. I have many of these magazines as well, not subscriptions just buying them in a store like you did. I like the wire magazines. I have however never seen the Everyday Gemstones magazine, I use stones in my wire work. Jewelry Artist, Art Jewelry and Metal clay look interesting too! Now I have to check out Whimsical Monkey above :)

  8. How fun!! What cool upcycling and so generous of you)

I enjoy wire magazines because they include my favorite technique -- chainmaille -- and I wire wrap cabs and beads. Beads... I also love beads because they talk to me about becoming jewelry, the other beads they want to hang out with it, all the ways they can become everything they ever dreamed of: beadmaille, Beads for Courage, peace beads, ethnic beads, clever beads, Bead soup. Yeah, beads and I go way back ....

  10. I really love Belle Amoire but often don't spring for it as it's a bit pricey, so that would be my favorite. Easy Wire is also my speed. Stringing is my favorite and I often buy it, but I don't recognize that issue. Bead and Button is starting to be relevant to me, as I have been doing more off loom bead weaving. Most of it is beyond me, but usually I can find a couple projects that are my speed. I think this is a GREAT way to pass on magazines you are done with!

  12. Oh yes, I love magazines too! I do my best to "forget" how much I like them so that I'm not buying every one! That last batch of jewelry ones, I don't think I have any of those, and more shockingly I don't have any from the first set of beading magazines - I'd love a chance to win! Thanks so much for the generous offer
